Julie Petty Events, a wedding and event planning company, can customize your wedding at Milburn’s. The initial consultation is complimentary. And remember, all weddings held at Milburn Orchards are strictly outdoors.

Where is your wedding site?
Our wedding site is a grass area about the size of a football field and is to the right of our BIG BackYard. The level land is lined by two rows of apple trees creating privacy and ambiance.
Is everything outdoors?
Yes. All weddings are strictly outdoors. We strongly recommend renting a tent to provide shade, as well as providing a backup plan for rain.
What months are ideal for an outdoor wedding?
May, June, September and October have ideal temperatures for an outdoor wedding in Cecil County.
Are there time restrictions?
Fall weddings cannot start before 5:30pm. Our Fall Festival Weekends run the second weekend of September through the end of October. The public is welcome on the grounds from 10 to 4 in September and 10 to 5 in October. There are no time restrictions for Spring weddings.
Will someone from Milburn Orchards be present for my event?
Yes, Julie Petty Events is partnered with Milburn Orchards for weddings. Julie will be available throughout the coordination process, and Julie or an assistant will be on-site the day of the event.
Do you have liability insurance for the site?
Yes. However, our insurance coverage does not cover alcohol on the premises.
May we serve alcohol to guests of age?
If you’d like to have alcohol at your event, additional insurance will be required by, and obtained through, Milburn Orchards.
Are we able to hire any caterer?
Yes, any licensed and insured caterer.
Do you have a kitchen available for my caterer to use?
Do you have refrigerated space for my wedding cake and other items?
Yes, June through December our Farm Market is open so our cold storage is available.
What are your bathroom facilities like?
Portable restrooms are on the premises. They are not close by to the ceremony/ reception site. We strongly recommend renting event-worthy restrooms that can be placed nearby.
How many cars does your parking area hold?
Approximately, 200 cars near the site. Additional parking is also available across the street.
Are there preferred vendors we must chose from?
No. You may hire any caterer, tent rental, officiant, photographer, etc. of your choosing. However, Julie Petty Events must be hired for all weddings. Julie handles all of the wedding coordination for the orchard.
