Pumpkins |
![]() |
Your Fall decorative crop has become a very important endeavor to us. Every year, over 25-30 acres of our rich soil is dedicated to produce every kind of autumn décor you can think of. Of course, the #1 kind is literally tons upon many tons of all types of pumpkins – from the huge titanic ones, clear down to the wee-wee baby munchkins, and everything in between. Why we even have a “Pumpkin House” you may wander through. Remember to bring your camera. Bunches of real field corn stalks (with corn on the cob still attached), Indian corn and your selection of all kinds of gourds can be made from tens of thousands available. From the wee-tiny spoons, warted, angel wings, bird house-type through the huge, green basket gourds. The old fashioned crook-neck pumpkins and striped crenshaws, the ones Grandma used to make her famous home made pumpkin pies from (and we still do) are one of our specialities. And of course you may select from our many edible varities of winter squash. Bake ‘em with butter, mmm mmm good. Our young friends and neighbors just can’t imagine how many pumpkins they have to choose from until they can see all of these many tons lined up in the numerous long curving lines. COME SEE! |
