Monday, April 12th, 2010With over 6000 trees to get into the ground, Milburn Orchards has already put 2 years work into just getting the dirt ready for today. The grounds have to be in “perfect” condition in order for these cherry trees (and apple) to survive. A very exciting week for us here on the farm!
The rental bees have also arrived and very busy at work already…the busier they are the better the crops!
We also have to teach a little at a time to the next generation. This is Collin (age 9), Melinda’s son. We told him how the tree planting works and that it would be about when he is our age when the trees need replaced. By the look on his face, I don’t think he could even imagine being our age!

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009U-PICK Update 9/20/09- U-Pick Raspberries, Blackberries and Grapes are now finished for the season! Grapes still available in the farm market for a limited time! This weekend in U-Pick apples is Red & Golden Delicious and Jonagold (limited).

-What the Milburn boys are working on now….you’ll notice a huge difference in the field across the farm market. We are in our secong phase of preparing the ground for our cherry tree planting Spring 2010. This will be the new home of our U-Pick Cherry orchard. Also, per customer demand, we are planting more MacIntosh apples while at the same time, improving the parking area for your safety!
